Current state

The main Sapphire Constellum scope is implemented and deployed at constellum.sapphire-project.me. It supports durable collaboration between people, ChatGPT, Codex, and AI agents across sessions.

Implemented

  • Projects, boards, customizable columns, cards, actors and agents, assignments, priorities, dependencies, revisions, and an append-only activity log.
  • Kanban and backlog views, search, filters, checklists, comments, attachments, assignees, column drag-and-drop, and AJAX refresh.
  • Progress tracking, blockers, handoffs, next actions, artifacts, and a review workflow.
  • Contracts for atomic task claims, TTL leases, heartbeat, and release.
  • A complete MCP contour, OAuth permissions, access control, audit, and separation of read, write, manage, and destructive operations.
  • Real-world use with Codex and ChatGPT.

Remaining before alpha

  • Final validation of CGI, FCGI, UI, AJAX, and agent tool contracts.
  • End-to-end testing of task claims, heartbeat, lease expiry, recovery, and failure scenarios.
  • Additional responsive and mobile smoke testing plus hardening.

Current progress: 90%.

Alpha target date: 22 July 2026.

Constellum is already actively used by the system’s author during its development.
